Background
The refresh focused on the core pages: Home, About, Resources, and Contact. These key pages would help with layout and design consistency. A new Articles page was introduced, including a landing page and individual article templates.
The updated design aimed to retain the feminine aesthetic of the podcast’s Instagram presence while introducing a more modern and refined look to engage a growing audience.

Discovering Pain Points
I identified critical pain points in user interactions on the old website using heatmaps and google analytics.
01
Incorrect typography CSS settings negatively impacted SEO performance.
02
Long navigation created excessive scroll depth, causing users to abandon the page.
03
Users submitted questions in the contact section that were already answered in the About Us page, indicating poor content discoverability.
04
The key pages contained too much copy, making it difficult for users to quickly find key information.
Updated Digital Branding
I crafted a brand identity that not only better reflected the brand but also strengthened its social media presence and drove engagement.

New vs Old Updates

Navigation Changes
The oversized header increased scroll depth and an inactive X button at the top left. I removed the X button, reduced the navigation section, introduced a hamburger menu, and added branded social media icons in line with the brand guidelines, as social media is a key part of the brand.

About Page Changes
The About page was presented in a long, blog-style format, making it difficult to read and extract key information. Images were also missing. I restructured the content, added new images, and styled the page to align with the refreshed website branding.

Home Page Changes
The original homepage had poorly formatted images with visible borders, excessive spacing, and lacked clear navigation or calls to action. I improved image presentation, refined spacing for better layout balance, and added buttons and new product highlights to encourage user exploration and engagement.

New about page
A refreshed website that reflects the podcast and the brand
Delivered a refreshed website aligned with the launch of a new book, enhancing brand representation and enabling seamless user navigation. The updated design ensures The Psychology of Your 20s is clearly communicated and consistently reflected across the site.
Redesigned Key Pages
Revamped the homepage, About Us, Resources, and Contact pages while removing buggy and distracting floating elements to create a smoother browsing experience.
Improved SEO
Introduced a blog section and fixed CSS issues so that text is properly indexed and searchable on Google, boosting visibility.
Integrated Social Media
Added direct links to social channels, highlighted subscriber numbers, and embedded Spotify episodes to strengthen engagement and community connection.
